Making (Raspberry) Lemonade

Introducing Lemon Spritz, this year's #4dayKAL (4 Day Knit-a-long) pattern by Olive Knits. We are already so excited for this July project. Knit in a plant-fiber-blend yarn, it is the perfect light layer Spring, Summer, or Fall weather (or for you folks living in the warmer climates!).

(Need more info on this whole "4dayKAL" business? Check out our previous post here.)

This sweater was such a breeze to knit. The to-down construction has a bit of interest with reverse Stockinette sleeves. After the sleeve divide, when things usually get (yawn) super boring on the bottom, this sweater actually gets MORE interesting with a diamond lace pattern. The cute lemon leaf sleeve details are the perfect finishing touch.

  • Hi Sarah, what needle size did you use here? This looks like the perfect sweater to make my mom!!

    Knot Another Hat replied:
Hi Treena – Sarah used a US 5 (3.75mm). Full gauge and swatching/needle info has not been released yet; it should become available with the pattern pre-order release sometime later today on Olive Knits. You can find a link and other info on our 4 Day KAL collection page here: https://knotanotherhat.com/collections/4-day-kal

  • Would the HiKoo Madrona work for this?

    Knot Another Hat replied:
HiKoo Madrona is a fingering weight and would be too light for this project. You can check out the yarns we recommend for Lemon Spritz on our 4 Day KAL collection page here: https://knotanotherhat.com/collections/4-day-kal Thank you!

  • I’m thinking of using the Luma marigold – is it more yellow or orange?

    Knot Another Hat replied:
Hi Lisa – it is maybe a bit more orange than it shows online, really very gold. Here is a photo of it with Malabrigo Susurro color Sunset (left) and Elemental Affects Coastal color Tangerine (middle) for reference. I don’t know if the photo will show up here; if it doesn’t I’ll email it to you directly. Thanks!
