Does “gauge” seem elusive? Do you know what yarn and fiber to use for which project? Do you want your hats and garments to fit just right? We will go through the layout and details of a good pattern, the anatomy of a yarn label, and the importance of gauge as well as how to get it! You will be able to read and understand a pattern and shop a yarn store like a pro.
Skill Level: All levels of experience welcome.
Materials:All are optional. Registered students will receive a one-time 15% off coupon for a post-class purchase.
- A pattern you want to knit or have already knit
- A knitted swatch or project (finished or not) to use for measuring gauge
- A flat ruler or “needle gauge” or “check knit gauge”
