Join us Sept 8th from 3-5pm for a special afternoon with best-selling author and knitwear designer, Marie Greene from Olive Knits. We’ll be celebrating the release of her fourth book, The Joy of Yarn, with a delightful (and informative) talk, light happy hour, and book signing.
Marie will share her story about how an overwhelming stash and a failed attempt at a yarn diet helped her develop an entirely new approach to buying and storing yarn. (Here’s a hint: yarn diets aren’t the answer.) Marie will teach us how to shop for the makers we are today, not the ones we used to be - or the ones we think we might be down the road. Marie will share her insights from working with thousands of knitters – from all over the world – helping them gain control of their stash, shop with confidence, and get organized in a way that really works. Marie Greene is an internationally known designer, author and knitting teacher. She is the founder of Olive Knits and the Knit Camp app, and the author of four (soon to be five!) books on knitting, including Seamless Knit Sweaters, Knit Shawls and Wraps, Knit a Little,, and her upcoming release The Joy of Yarn. Her renegade knitting tricks, and cheerful teaching style, have helped knitters around the world knit with skill and confidence. Marie teaches the "how" AND the "why" and empowers her students with the skills to be the boss of their own knitting.
