lace and textured handknit shawl

Some Me Time shawl by Joji Locatelli is a sport or DK weight lace shawl that the designer says is “soothing, repetitive and meditative”. Aptly named, it's the kind of project Joji loves for her “me time”. This handknit shawl features a straightforward lace pattern that is easy to knit and keep track of, and creates a beautiful complex fabric.

Leigh knit our sample in 2 skeins of Amano Awa, which is a unique blend of baby alpaca, merino wool and pima cotton that has an exceptional and different look, almost heathered in some colors. She knit the sport weight version of the pattern (17 st/4" on US 6 needle) but worked 4 pattern repeats, as instructed in the DK version, in order to complete in 2 skeins. And it is plenty large!
