The Melinda hat by Sarah Keller is a KAH classic, named for the friend and customer who inspired the design. Knit in 1 skein of the easy-care Berroco Vintage, this is a quick and satisfying project, great for a gift or as a winter accessory staple. We also think that the new Dream in Color Classy would make a great Melinda!
Finished size: adult, to fit 20-22" head circumference
Pattern: Melinda by Sarah Keller available for purchase as a download
Yarn: 1 skein Berroco Vintage in 51171 Begonia, or 1 skein Dream in Color Classy
Gauge: 22 stitches and 32 rows over 4" [10 cm] in pattern stitch
Needles: US 7 (4.5mm)

Malabrigo Rios in Medusa I purchased at KAH
I love the Cove hat. Would it work??

Hi Judy – the Cove hat is designed for light DK weight yarn, so
Malabrigo Rios (worsted weight) would be a bit too heavy for it. Three
other of Sarah’s hat designs you could knit using Rios: Amada,
Hammerish, or Diamond Slouch
