Knit your own beautiful Artus shawl in Manos del Uruguay Alpaca Heather. Alpaca Heather is one of my favorite yarns. It is 70% wool, so you get the stitch definition and shape memory of wool, and 30% alpaca, offering warmth and softness.
My sample shawl was knit with Beige (C1/two 100g skeins), Honeycomb (C2/two 50g skeins), Icarus (C3/two 50g skeins), North Sea (C4/one 50g skein), and Helium (C5/one 50g skein) - Colorway #2 below.
Each bundle includes the yardage necessary to complete the shawl. The Artus pattern is not included and can be purchased from Ravelry.
Yardage Required:
Color 1: approx 470 m / 515 yards (2 100g skeins or 4 50g skeins).
Color 2: approx 180 m / 195 yards (2 50g skeins or 1 100g skein).
Color 3: approx 270 m / 295 yards (2 50g skeins or 1 100g skein).
Color 4: approx 120 m / 130 yards (1 50g skein).
Color 5: approx 130 m / 142 yards (1 50g skein).
Gauge/Needles: 5.5 sts/inch on US 4 and 5 (3.5 and 3.75mm) needles.
