ONLINE CLASS: More Brioche! :: Saturday November 2

Have you had a taste of Brioche knitting and feel ready to try some more? We will knit a flat, two-color brioche swatch, including common increases and decreases used in Brioche knitting. This will prepare you to knit whatever dreamy Brioche pattern you have had your eye on.

Skill Level: Experience with Brioche knitting (e.g., completion of "Introduction to Brioche Knitting" class). Intermediate knitting skills - you need to be comfortable casting on, knitting, purling, doing yarn overs, and reading patterns.

Materials:

Registered students will receive a one-time 15% off coupon for a post-class purchase.

• Two contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn (approx. 50-70 yards each)
• Size US 6 (4.0mm) circular or double pointed needles
• Crochet hook (optional, for cast on and/or for fixing mistakes)
• Darning needle (to weave in ends and/or, do a Two-Color Italian Bind Off)
  

Homework:
Prior to class, CO 19 sts.
Recommend using the Twisted German Cast On or the Two-Color Italian Cast On. Video demonstrations are available on YouTube at the links below.
Twisted German Cast On: A variation of the long tail method with an extra twist, giving it more stretch.
Two-Color Italian Cast On: This cast on gives you the needed elasticity while remaining relatively invisible because you start with knit and purl stitches.

Zoom: Class Zoom links will be emailed prior to class. Class will be recorded and available to students for 2 months.
