new design: haunui handknit poncho or wrap
The Haunui Poncho or Wrap designed by Sarah Keller is a comfortable garment that can be worn unseamed as a large rectangular wrap or with one small seam it is transformed into a casual handknit poncho.
The cotton/wool blend of Noro Haunui Cotton creates a light and swingy fabric and it was my inspiration for this pattern. Edged with twisted stitch panels outlining Stockinette stitch, it is ideal for highlighting this unique yarn. Haunui Cotton is cotton blended with wool in either a natural cream or a natural grey. The blend is dyed with cotton dyes, and the cotton takes the color while the wool remains undyed to peak through. This worsted-weight yarn comes in large 410-yard skeins, so just 2 skeins of Haunui Cotton are required for this pattern.
