Shop Sample: Better-Than-Basic Pullover
The Better-Than-Basic Pullover by Churchmouse is a simple-style pullover that's destined to be a wardrobe staple. It features a flattering dropped shoulder that creates a roomy armhole without excess fabric bunching under the arm and a slim, tapered cuff. A bit of short-row shaping allows the front and back hemline to hang more evenly when worn. this pattern is easily customizable for ease and length. Sarah knit this sample using Dream In Color Classy, a versatile 100% superwash merino, and Madelinetosh Impression, a mohair/silk blend, held together. Combined, these hand-dyed yarns create a luxurious, drapey fabric with a lovely halo and color depth. Sarah chose the funnel-neck version and a length between hip and tunic. She modified the pattern to knit the body in the round from the hem up to the armholes, and knit the sleeves picked up at armholes and knit in the round down.
