Milli Kerchief by Julie Weisenberger is the perfect wee project for that precious skein or partial skein of special yarn. This handknit scarf can be knit with any yarn, any needles, and any gauge! Milli is knit by proportion, so you can knit confidently knowing you will have enough yarn to finish. Knit from the tip up with the right and left ties knit at the end, you will weigh your yarn at the beginning and along the way to use it up proportionally. The result is a fun kerchief that brings a pop of color and just the right amount of warmth and softness around your neck. The curved neckline of the Milli Kerchief creates a shape that mimics the neck contour, reducing the volume of fabric at the neckline and making it more comfortable to wear.
Jill knit our sample in the luxurious Juniper Moon Farm Moonshine Fine, a sport weight blend of 30% alpaca, 30% wool, 25% nylon, and 15% silk (437 yds/100g). This super soft yarn is perfect for a neck accessory and the beautiful sheen adds a touch of elegance to this simple kerchief. Jill only used less than half a skein of Moonshine Fine, so you can knit 2 kerchiefs out of a single skein!
