shop sample: one plus rainbow striped handknit baby sweater
One Plus by Erika Flory is a top-down, one piece handknit baby sweater. Sized from 0-3 months to 8 years, this sweet cardigan is easy as pie and cute as a button. It has garter stitch edges at the neck, front and lower bands, and the edges of the cap sleeves. Perfect for layering in cooler weather or wearing over a tank in warmer weather.
Jill knit our adorable sample (in a weekend!) in just one skein of the new worsted weight cotton yarn Juniper Moon Farm Cumulus Stripes (94% cotton, 6% nylon; 251 yds/100g). The rainbow stripes were a delight to knit from beginning to end. So many great striped colors in this yarn, which lend a "crayon effect" to the fabric. The first FOUR sizes (up to 18 months, which is what Jill knit) can be knit with a single skein - maybe even the 5th size but yarn chicken would be involved!
