shop sample: sonatine handknit cowl
"Sonatine" by Dee O'Keefe is a stylish, asymmetrical cowl that features a beautiful lace pattern on a garter stitch background. This handknit cowl can be made in small or medium size and using one color or two colors (as shown). We love bandana-shaped cowls because they have less bulk behind the neck, making them perfect for layering with a jacket, especially for transitional seasons. It is knit flat and has a short seam in the back.The Sonatine pattern includes a chart for the lace as well as full written out instructions for that chart.
Sarah knit our sample in 1 skein each of two colors of the brand new Malabrigo Seis Cabos, a worsted weight 100% non-superwash merino wool. This plump, 6-ply yarn has great stitch definition and comes in the gorgeous hand-dyed colors you know and love from Malabrigo. Colors can be switched to make a second cowl!
