We love new knitters! In Aiko's Learn to Knit class you will go from total beginner to knitting a pair of fingerless mitts to keep your hands warm. Included with your class registration is access to our online Learn to Knit course for continued support following your in-person instruction. Also included is our "I Learned to Knit at Knot Another Hat" tote bag (pictured)!
Skill Level: This is a class for true beginners. You will learn how to cast on, make the knit stitch, bind off, and create a simple seam.
Materials:
Registered students will be emailed a coupon code for 10% off class materials purchased at Knot Another Hat, and will receive a one-time 15% off coupon for a post-class purchase.
- Your First Mitts pattern by Sarah Keller (included with class purchase; you will receive a copy in class and have access to a pdf version via our online LTK class)
- 130-145 yds of smooth, light to medium colored bulky weight yarn; suggested yarns Berroco Vintage Chunky, Berroco Ultra Alpaca Chunky, Malabrigo Vientos
- Needles: size US 10.5 (6.5mm) needles
- Measuring tape
- Finishing needle (for weaving in ends)
Homework:
Have your yarn wound into a ball (if needed) and ready to cast on.
Class size: Class will be limited to 6 students

Domestic First Class shipping rates by weight: 0-7.9 oz, $4.99; 8-15.9 oz, $6.99; 16-31.9 oz (1-1.99 lb), $9.99; 32 oz (2 lb) and over, $13.99. Drop-Ship orders may be charged separate shipping. Large or heavy items may be charged extra shipping. Optional Priority service available, as well as First Class International. Orders ship in 24-36 hours.
Return Policy
Returns for STORE CREDIT ONLY are accepted on regular-priced yarn stocked in-store in original condition within 60 days (shipping not included). No returns, refunds or exchanges on sale items, needles, digital content, special orders, drop-ship orders, pre-orders, and patterns. Please contact us in the case of defects.
Due to merchant processing fees, we are unable to retro-actively apply coupon codes or gift card codes not entered at checkout for a refund. Please be sure to fully enter your coupon code or gift card before completing checkout.
Some subscription auto-renewals that are not managed ahead of renewal time may not be eligible for refunds; some may be eligible for a refund minus a processing fee to cover merchant fees (see our Subscriptions Policy for more details).
Class Cancellation Policy: refund for store credit with 7 days' advanced notice; within 7 days, no refund unless your spot can be filled from a waitlist.
Virtual Course Cancellation Policy (courses hosted on our virtual classroom platform Thinkific): refund for store credit minus a 5% processing fee with 2 days' advanced notice; within 2 days of course start date no refunds available. There are no refunds for course materials or digital content that the student has already received.
Rewards coupons earned expire 1 year from issue date and are good on non-sale items only.
Knot Another Club cancellation policy: monthly subscription service can be cancelled at any time; no refunds on previous charges. Annual subscriptions can be cancelled within 30 days of subscribing; no refunds after 30 days.
