Want to take your knitting up a notch and learn to work cables? Join Jill to knit a bulky cabled hat in the round! This two-session class is great for advanced beginner knitters who have knit a hat or other project in the round and are comfortable with the basics. You will knit an adult-sized bulky-weight hat while learning to knit cables using a cable needle. You will also learn to work from a chart, really opening up your project options. Cables are easier than you think and they help solidify "reading" your knitted fabric.
Skill Level: This class is suitable for advanced beginner knitters. You should be comfortable independently casting on, knitting, purling and working in the round.

- New basic cabled hat pattern by Sarah Keller. This versatile hat pattern is written for bulky and superbulky yarn weights. It is included with your class purchase and will be provided.
- Approx. 130 yds bulky weight yarn; suggested yarns are Berroco Vintage Chunky or Berroco Ultra Alpaca Chunky
- Needles: size US 10 (6.0mm) 16" circular needle, plus second circular needle of the same size or DPNs to work small circumference at the top of hat
- Cable needle
- Stitch marker
- Finishing needle (for weaving in ends)
Homework:
Have your yarn wound and cast on 64 stitches to begin pattern. Place marker and join in the round. Work ribbing: *k1, p1, repeat from * around. Continue to work k1, p1 ribbing for 1.75”. Then you will be ready to dive in to cables in class!

Return Policy
Returns for STORE CREDIT ONLY are accepted on regular-priced yarn stocked in-store in original condition within 60 days (shipping not included). No returns, refunds or exchanges on sale items, needles, digital content, special orders, drop-ship orders, pre-orders, and patterns. Please contact us in the case of defects.

Class Cancellation Policy: refund for store credit with 7 days' advanced notice; within 7 days, no refund unless your spot can be filled from a waitlist.
Virtual Course Cancellation Policy (courses hosted on our virtual classroom platform Thinkific): refund for store credit minus a 5% processing fee with 2 days' advanced notice; within 2 days of course start date no refunds available. There are no refunds for course materials or digital content that the student has already received.

Knot Another Club cancellation policy: monthly subscription service can be cancelled at any time; no refunds on previous charges. Annual subscriptions can be cancelled within 30 days of subscribing; no refunds after 30 days.
