In honor of both Malabrigo’s and Knot Another Hat’s 20th anniversaries, I created this tri-color cowl to capture a festive feeling in the classic Malabrigo Rios yarn. It’s a relaxing, satisfying knit that is both engaging and straightforward. The finished cowl is a cozy, circular hug that can be worn long or doubled up around the neck for extra warmth.
- Yarn: 1 skein each of 3 colors Malabrigo Rios (100% superwash merino wool; 210 yds/100g) in colors, Teal Feather (A), Virgo (B), and Magenta (C);
- Needles: 16" circular needles size US 7 (4.5mm) and US 8 (5.0mm)
- Skill: knitting in the round, basic increases and decreases
- Size: approx. 48" circumference x 8" width
- Gauge: 23 sts x 29 rows = 4" in Slip Stitch Pattern in the round on size US 8 (5.0mm) needle; 18 sts x 24 rows = 4" in Stockinette stitch in the round on size US 8 (5.0mm) needle
