Fall '26 Mystery KAL with Knot Another Hat

Introducing the "Knot Another Dead Body 3" Mystery Knit-Along (MKAL) - our next big fall event! Join us to knit a mystery design "Craic Killer", by our very own Ingrid Saxon. This mystery knit is inspired by traditional Aran stitches and mosaic colorwork, keeping your mind and hands engaged. There are charts as well as written instructions making this knit accessible for adventurous beginners to long-time experts. And, with a murder mystery novelette to accompany your knitting? Perfect combo! Scroll down for pattern details and signup here:

The pattern will be available for pre-order beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8. Upon purchasing the pattern, you will receive a download with pattern details that include guidance for yarn/needles/gauge. The pattern launch is on Thursday, Oct. 1 with the 1st clue. Additional clues will become available the following three Thursdays for a total of four clues.

Join Sarah & Ingrid for a special Tuesday Lunch Chat on our Facebook page at NOON on Sept. 8 to talk all things yarn inspiration for the MKAL!

"Craic Killer" pattern info:

Options: There are three object options - a poncho, lap blanket, or rectangular wrap.
Yarn:
     - 895-1030 yds worsted weight for poncho/lap blanket; 735-840 yds MC and 160-190 yds CC (specific yardage by size available in pattern details download)
     - 1747 yds DK weight for rectangular wrap; 1420 yds MC and 327 yds CC
*Stitch definition is important to highlight the aran sts and mosaic colorwork. Yarn recommendations: 1) If using an animal fiber, a non-superwash wool or mostly wool blend would work best. If using a plant fiber, a linen yarn or cotton/linen blend would work best. 2) Using a lighter color for MC will show your aran sts best and a darker CC will provide good contrast for the mosaic colorwork.
Gauge: See pattern details for gauge depending on chosen object. Gauge is not crucial for the lap blanket or wrap; however, knitting at a different gauge could result in different finished dimensions and amount of yarn needed.
Needles:
US 6 & US 7 (4.0 & 4.5mm) 24-32" circular for poncho/lap blanket
US 4 & US 5 (3.5 & 3.75mm) 24-32" circular for rectangular wrap
