The Purl Code by Isabell Kraemer is a "statement sweater". This handknit sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down with raglan shaping. Short rows are worked back and forth to shape the neck. Yoke depth is designed to be rather deep and there is optional neck finishing that's worked last. Purl stitch lines are added every now and then throughout in a fully customizable manner: add purl stitches where you like/when you like/as many as you like and even incorporate the morse code alphabet to code your personal message. The pattern includes a ‘purl code alphabet’.
Sarah knit her statement Purl Code using the light and fluffy Berroco Aurelia, a worsted weight cotton and merino wool blend yarn. This chainette yarn has a cotton core infused with merino wool fibers, giving a velvety, lightweight feel to the finished fabric. This casual piece works in multiple seasons, allowing you to make your statement year-round!
