Baby Coco by Julie Weisenberger (Cocoknits) is a debonair little grandpa cardigan, with a Stockinette stitch body, front pockets, and a shawl collar. The pattern also includes a version with a simple lace panel below the yoke, with or without pockets, and an alternative basic button band. Lots of options!

Whichever version you choose, this pint-size handknit baby sweater pattern is a great way to learn the Cocoknits Method without committing to the time and yardage of a full adult sweater. It features Cocoknits Method shoulders and uses the Cocoknits Sweater Worksheet. Included are instructions for picking up the button band, for working short rows to create the shawl collar and for pockets! The pattern is sized from 12 months to 6 years so it is a solid, reliable pattern to return to over and over.
