shop sample: finest kinder handknit baby sweater
Finest Kinder by Alicia Plummer is a classic pullover with simple texture, fresh ribbing and a nostalgic rolled edge. This handknit baby sweater is worked in the round from the bottom up, then split for upper body/armholes and worked flat. Shoulders are joined with a 3 needle bind off for strength and sleeves are knit in the round. Finest Kinder is inspired by the rugged Maine coastline and it is a child-sized version of the designer's popular adult sweater Finest Kind.
Jill knit our sweet sample in Berroco Millstone Tweed (60% wool, 20% viscose, 28% polyamide; 97 yds/50g), a super soft and cozy tweedy yarn that is a joy to work with. This handknit baby sweater is the mini-me to Jill's Finest Kind she knit for herself last year, both completed as test knits for the designer.
