shop sample: straight to my head handknit hat
Straight to My Head by Sarah Keller is a really fun colorwork handknit hat with a beanie or slouchy style option. Knitting and drinking rarely mix well --- “sip sip” in the evening usually means “tink tink” in the morning. This hat may be chock full of 2-color stranded knitting, but really, mix up a color here with a color there, and who’s going to notice? I may have had a cocktail or two while designing it, and I’m not saying one way or another, but it may have gone straight to my head!
Jill knit the beanie version for our sample using a bundle of Madelinetosh Unicorn Tails (8 mini skeins of Tosh Merino Light, 100% superwash merino wool, 52 yds ea) in colorway "Forever KAH". Originally written for 5 colors, you can have fun playing with the 8 colors in the set and mixing and matching as you like.
