shop sample: summit cowl and dash hat handknit accessories
The Summit cowl by Åsa Buchta is a playful cowl that uses the spots of color in Berroco Dash to create a fun texture on a neutral background. Worked from the bottom up, the cowl features slight shaping and fun colorful bobbles. What to do with the cowl leftovers from the 2 skeins? Work a coordinating hat, of course! The Dash Hat by Laura Groff is just the thing to complete this set of handknit accessories. This design uses the spots of color in Dash in a different way - simply by purling those stitches to create colorful texture that stands out from the Stockinette stitch background.
Sarah knit our samples in the design yarn, superbulky weight Berroco Dash, knitting both pieces from 2 skeins. This fluffy chainette yarn is soft and light extrafine merino wool with just a touch of nylon. The soft feel and bright "dashes" of color throughout combine to make this yarn squishy fun.
