shop sample: woolly waffle handknit hat
Woolly Waffle Hat by Stephen West is cozy, textured, double-thickness, two-color handknit hat. The main color is knit first in a waffle stitch pattern for the outer layer of the hat. Stitches are picked up along the cast on edge with a contrast color and the inner layer is knit in Stockinette stitch. Wear this reversible handknit hat with the waffle stitches on the outside and contrast color brim showing, or inside out for a color pop effect. This is a beginner-friendly pattern.
Jill knit our sample using highly contrasting colors of Kelbourne Woolens Scout, a KAH-favorite DK weight 100% wool. The wool in Scout is a cross between Corriedale and Merino, perfect for accessories and garments alike. It is unfussy, beautiful, high-quality, and comes in a gorgeous color palette.
