Spring '24 Mystery KAL with Knot Another Hat
Introducing the Knot Another Dead Body Mystery Knit-a-long (MKAL) - our next big event! Join us to knit a mystery design by our very own Ingrid Saxon. This MKAL has just the right amount of adventure to keep you engaged and anticipating the next clue, balanced with rhythmic stitches that provide relaxing breaks. And there is a fictional murder mystery to accompany your knitting! Perfect combo, right!?
The pattern is available for pre-order and will launch on Thursday, April 25th with the 1st clue. Additional clues will become available the following 3 Thursdays for a total of 4.
Our wonderful host Ingrid will lead the MKAL! It will kickoff with a Zoom meetup on LYS Day, Saturday, April 27th at 9:00am Pacific (10:00 MT, 11:00 CT, 12:00 ET), followed by 3 more Zoom get-togethers. Meetups will be recorded and replays made available to participants. Full schedule (all times Pacific):
Meetup #1: Saturday, April 27 - 9:00am PT
Meetup #2: Saturday, May 4 - 9:00am PT
Meetup #3: Monday, May 13 - 12:00pm PT
Meetup #4: Sunday, May 19 - 9:00am PT
Watch the replay of our Tuesday Lunch Chat with Sarah and special guest Ingrid talking all things MKAL and yarn inspiration! Watch the replay on Facebook or YouTube!! Yarns shown on the chat are listed here.
Excited yet? Well, there’s more - registered participants will get 10% off their purchase of yarn for the KAL (one use per customer). AND we will have a prize drawing!
"Target On My Back (T.O.M.B)" pattern details:
Yarn: Four 100g skeins of fingering weight yarn in different colors. One or two yarns could be speckled or variegated, the others should be semi-solid to solid. Colors 2 & 4 need to contrast.
Gauge: 23 sts and 29 rows = 4" in St st after blocking (*Please note that while gauge is not crucial, a change in gauge will change the size of the object and possibly the amount of yarn needed.)
Needles: US 4 (3.5mm) 24" circular
Options: You will have a choice of three finished objects: infinity scarf, wrap, or shrug. You do not need to make a final decision until Clue 4; clues and knitting for sections 1, 2 and 3 are the same no matter which option you choose. This is a one-piece object; you will only do a small amount of seaming if you choose to make a shrug, all other options are seamless.
Suggested yarns:
We have several designer-curated palettes personally chosen by Ingrid!
Or create your own combo, choosing from a wide variety of fingering weight yarns. Have some stash yarn you want to use and need to supplement with a couple more skeins? We can help you choose - contact us!
