Discover the magic of double knitting and create beautifully finished, fully reversible fabrics with clean edges and polished construction.
In this technique-focused workshop, Ariana will guide you through the foundations of double knitting in both one and two colors. Through focused swatching, you’ll build transferable skills that can be applied to reversible scarves/headbands, lined bags/garments, and more. All techniques will be taught flat to maximize flexibility across future projects. After class, students will receive recommended pattern ideas to continue practicing their new skills. Skills covered:
- Single-color double knitting
- Two-color double knitting
- Increasing and decreasing in double knitting
- Two-color invisible cast-on
- Clean selvedge edges
- Invisible bind-off
Skill level: Intermediate+
Best for confident knitters who are comfortable exploring cast ons, managing two yarns, increasing/decreasing, and following written patterns or charts.

- Scrap yarn in two contrasting colors, enough to knit multiple swatches (same weight; worsted recommended)
- Needles: size US 8 (5.0mm), straight or circular; or appropriately sized needles for your yarn
- Finishing needle

Returns for STORE CREDIT ONLY are accepted on regular-priced yarn stocked in-store in original condition within 60 days (shipping not included). No returns, refunds or exchanges on sale items, needles, digital content, special orders, drop-ship orders, pre-orders, and patterns. Please contact us in the case of defects.

Class Cancellation Policy: refund for store credit with 7 days' advanced notice; within 7 days, no refund unless your spot can be filled from a waitlist.
Virtual Course Cancellation Policy (courses hosted on our virtual classroom platform Thinkific): refund for store credit minus a 5% processing fee with 2 days' advanced notice; within 2 days of course start date no refunds available. There are no refunds for course materials or digital content that the student has already received.
