The Paloma Knit Pouch (kit) from Flax & Twine is simple handknit clutch with a zipper and handle. This beginner-friendly project allows you to knit a chic, textured pouch and add a zipper in just a weekend. Designed for double the fun, the kit includes enough materials to create two clutches, so you can keep one for yourself and gift the other in the inverted colorway. Don’t let the hardware intimidate you, as the zipper is finished easily by hand with no sewing machine required. Jill knit our handknit clutch sample in the deep sea/dune combo of the Flax & Twine Sundrift Zipper Pouch grab-n-go bundle. The bundle includes everything but the size US 6 needles: 2 spools of Flax & Twine Sundrift Paper Raffia (100% wood pulp, 175 yds/100g), 9" brass zipper, embroidery floss, tapestry needle, Japanese style clippers, sewing pins, measuring tape, and pattern & video.
Jill says "The kit comes with everything but the needles. The instructions are very clear and it was my first time sewing in a zipper by hand! I used a Cocoknits Leather Handle rather than a braided one. I've already started the second clutch, reversing the colors. Will definitely be knitting a few more for gifts!"
