new design: oregon summer striped handknit shawl

Oregon Summerย by Sarah Keller is a cozy cotton handknit shawl that is perfect for keeping your shoulders warm on a cool summer evening. It knits up very quickly in your choice of two yarn weight options: heavy worsted to bulky (on size US 10.5 needles) or superbulky (on size US 13 needles).

Sarah knit our new heavy-worsted to bulky weight sample in 2 skeins ofย Juniper Moon Farms Cumulus Stripesย (94% cotton, 6% nylon; 251 yds/100g). This incredibly soft and squishy yarn is available in a variety of beautiful self-striping colors that create such a nice effect in this handknit shawl, with the combination of simple garter and openwork stitches.

Lang Phoenix (93% mulesing-free fine merino, 7% nylon, 295 yds/100g) would be a great choice for the superbulky version (just one skein!)! It would be light as a feather and amazingly soft in this yarn.
