shop sample: Tutka Pullover handknit sweater
Tutka Pullover by Caitlin Hunter is a delicate and lightweight sweater with an all over lace pattern and loose gauge. It is knit seamlessly from the top down in the round, using short rows to raise the back neck for improved fit. The lace and bobble details create a fun texture and will keep you interested. The length of the body and sleeves is easily adjustable and the overall fit is “knitter's preference” but recommended 6-8" positive ease.
Our sample (burgandy) was knit by Liz in American Ewe Sport Twist, a marled/tweedy sport weight domestic wool blend of merino and rambouillet, held together with mohair/silk blend Berroco Aerial. The result is a dimensional color that really enhances the pattern. Jill knit her sweater (green) in buttery soft Berroco Renew, a DK-weight recycled-fiber blend of viscose, wool, nylon and cashmere, held together with Malabrigo Mohair, a mohair/silk blend, that lends a soft halo to the finished fabric. Other mohair/silk blends, such as Tosh Impression would work well also.
